Just a simple Google search can pull up 30+ designers in one region. With so many different options, how can you be sure you select the right one to design your website?
When it all boils down to it, there are basically two different types of people who want to design your website.

From first glance, you would automatically assume that if you want a website designed, then you would get a website designer. But that is not always the case, so let’s have a look at both options and see if it helps you decide which one you should choose.

The first thing that comes into your head is the same as in mine – because they design beautiful websites.
A website designer specializing in the design and coding on a website and therefore you can expect to receive a great looking website that will naturally grab the eye of your visitors.
What Are The Benefits Of An Online Marketer?
While a website designer focuses on the design aspects an online marketer focuses on conversion.
Their websites are usually not as pretty but that is because their goal is to convert visitors into business leads or customers – not to give them a visual experience.
So Which One Is Better?
Now obviously you want a website that converts (otherwise it would be pointless), but I’m also very proud of my business and want to make sure that it is portrayed in a positive way.
So, personally I would prefer a mixture of both – a great looking website that converts visitors to business leads.
Is this possible? Yes. Is it easy to find? Not really.
Most people are either designers or marketers. Sure you can hire two separate people to do each individual job – but we all know that is just going to get messy.
Find one that does both in house. It may take a little searching, but if you look over a companies portfolio and it looks nice, then give them a call and ask them how they have helped one of the clients gain more business? You will be surprised how many cannot answer you.
But don’t give up until you find a competent design firm that has a track record with online marketing. They may be a little more expensive, but will be well worth it in the long run.
